SOAR specializes in providing support services for adults with the most difficult behaviors. This small group program assists adults with developmental disabilities who would benefit from intensive staffing.
California Vocations started its Supported Living Services program in 1996 to accommodate developmentally disabled individuals who benefit from living in their own home as opposed to living in a congregated living environment.
Individuals and their families work with Far Northern Regional Center and the California Vocations management team to develop a service plan specific to their needs.
COVE is a community-based program that provides activities to suit each individual’s interests and abilities.
Day program attendees are picked up and taken to the COVE program where they get into groups structured around different activities. A typical day includes taking part in a work, recreational and social activity. We structure our client’s day based on the individual, their abilities and personal preference.
People with developmental disabilities can be employed in the community alongside people without disabilities. Our employment program provides the support individuals with disabilities need to find a job that is compatible with their skills, abilities and interests. We ensure our clients’ success in the workplace by providing training and support every step of the way.
To ensure reliable and timely attendance, we provide transportation for our clients to get to and from work.
